Hi..
I have an htc hd7 and the problem is that sometimes the marketplace lags and it will stay that way for hours. The fastest way to solve this is by resetting the phone..
Is there another way other than switching the phone off and switching it on back again..?

Secondly, im using the phones alarm to wake me up early in the morning but the ringtone is not that loud to wake me..
After a few hour, i checked the phone but cannot unlock it (cannot input the password because the phone hangs)..
Resetting it like above wont do, each time this happen i had to remove the battery..

is there a better way to reset..?

thanks..

try a format  and start over...   theres something that sounds like it didnt install right and the phone just doesn't like it....   i hate to say this for most answers, but its a new o/s and file editing just hasnt happened yet...  if youre using a sd card... do a double format...  which is do one...  let it reboot and do it again...   ive found that solves the issue with the memory cards causing the phones to glitch....

I found the "reset your phone" button in the setting menu, but how to reset the memory/sd card..? I think hd7 only has built in memory..
Thanks..

well i havent seen a hd7 up close so i wasnt 100% sure there was or wasnt a sd card so i just gave instructions with an "if"...

You can also use the buttons to perform a hard reset. This comes in handy if the screen is frozen and you can’t access the phone.

1. Turn the phone off. If it’s frozen or unresponsive, pull then replace the battery.

2. Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons and power the phone back on.

3. Continue to hold Volume Up and Volume Down until a factory reset screen appears.

4. Go from there..
